How exactly will the subscription fee be collected? When will I be invoiced for the costs of charging sessions?
The monthly subscription fee will be collected and invoiced monthly, starting with the day you subscribed and then every month the same date, your billing date. For example, if you subscribe on 02.06.2024,you will be charged and invoiced on the same day. The next month you will be charged and invoiced on the 02.07.2024.
The one-time annual subscription fee will be collected and invoiced at the beginning of your subscription and will apply for12 months of subscription costs. For example, if you subscribe on 02.06.2024,you will be charged and invoiced on the same day, and your annual subscription will remain active until 02.06.2025.
- The invoice gets triggered and sent regardless of whether the credit card payment went through or not
- There are two reasons why the payment may have been rejected by your bank:
- IONITY requested a pre‑authorization of 40 EUR (or the equivalent in other currencies). The customer’s bank approved this amount, allowing the charging session to proceed normally. After the session, IONITY submitted an adjustment request for the final charging amount. However, some banks may decline this adjustment, which prevents the final payment from being collected.
- If you have an IONITY Motion or Power subscription, the monthly fee is charged automatically on your recurring billing date. In some cases, the subscription payment does not go through—for example, if your bank declines the transaction. When this happens, the subscription fee remains unpaid, and IONITY’s automated payment‑reminder process is triggered to collect the outstanding amount.
You will receive an invoice automatically to your e-mail address up to 48 hours after the session.
