New IONITY App - information for existing customers

We’ve updated the app design and user interface. The new IONITY App makes charging at our stations even easier and more intuitive. If you have a subscription, your current one will be transferred to the new app version automatically. IONITY app users without any subscription will have access to a slightly cheaper charging price per kWh with IONITY Go. 

You’re able to use the IONITY App as a guest. Please note: You’ll benefit from more attractive charging prices per kWh by signing up for an IONITY Subscription. 

Yes. You can log into your profile in the new IONITY App with your account information from the previous IONITY App. 

Yes. Your current subscription via the previous app is still valid in the new IONITY App version.

IONITY Direct: If you haven’t signed up to the IONITY App yet, you can charge with our IONITY Direct without having any subscription.

IONITY Go: If you’re a registered user of the IONITY App, you’ll automatically benefit from a slightly lower charging price per kWh with IONITY Go. No subscription and no monthly fees. Upgrade to our subscriptions to save even more.

IONITY Motion: You need to be a registered user of the IONITY App and opt for a subscription. IONITY Motion is ideal for drivers that only occasionally use their electric vehicle and want to benefit from a cheaper charging price per kWh. We charge a monthly basic fee for IONITY Motion.    

IONITY Power: You need to be a registered user of the IONITY App and opt for a subscription. IONITY Power is the right choice for a majority of EV drivers that want to save money after only two charging sessions per month and to benefit from the cheapest charging prices per kWh. We charge a monthly basic fee for IONITY Power.  

The IONITY Subscriptions are valid in 23 European countries, there is a minimum of a one-month contract period, and the subscription can be terminated at any time with a notice period of one month.

You can upgrade to the IONITY Power anytime within the app. Just go to the associated section and select your desired new subscription. The user will receive an order confirmation both in the IONITY App and to the email address registered in the user account. The switch to the IONITY Power will be implemented immediately and displayed to the user in the app, so you can directly benefit from the new and better conditions.  

You can also downgrade from IONITY Power to the IONITY Motion subscription within the app. The corresponding switch will be noted in the IONITY App but will only take effect from the next billing date.

The subscription’s basic fee will be collected and invoiced monthly, starting with the day you subscribe and then every month on the same date, your billing date. For example: If you subscribe on 02.06.2025, you will be charged and invoiced on the same day. The next month you will be charged and invoiced on the 02.07.2025.

You’ll find the current charging price on the IONITY Website INSERT LINK or in the IONITY App.

If you no longer want to subscribe to IONITY Motion or IONITY Power, you can discontinue the subscription anytime in the app. It will remain active until the next billing date which will be displayed in your user profile. Billing date: The basic fee will be invoiced monthly on the day of activation of the subscription.

Yes. As a registered IONITY App user you're able to charge your EV also with IONITY Go. No subscription and no monthly fees. You automatically benefit from a slightly lower charging price per kWh in comparison to IONITY Direct. Upgrade to IONITY Power or IONITY Motion to save even more. ** If you haven’t signed up to the IONITY App yet, you can charge with our IONITY Direct without having any subscription. Please note: Without an IONITY Subscription you won’t benefit from more attractive charging prices per kWh.

Yes. Your charging history from the previous IONITY App will be available in the new app version as well.

At the same time as the previous App is switched off, your previous account will be deleted due to the legal data protection regulations from 30th June 2021. Invoice transactions remain stored within the legal retention periods and are then deleted in due time. Accounts that cannot be deleted immediately will be stored separately from further processing for each client and function. You do not have to do anything yourself.
