Can I use an adapter when charging at IONITY stations?

Different CCS (Combined Charging System) connector types are used in the different regions of the world.

In Europe the CCS Type 2 / Combo 2 plug is the preferred solution for AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) charging. The CCS plug supplements the Type 2 plug with two additional power contacts for a quick charge function and supports AC and DC charging.

Please note, IONITY will not provide CCS adapters. IONITY does not recommend customers using any adapters due to safety issues. IONITY will not take any responsibility.
