PASSPORT price reduction of 23rd of January 2024
At IONITY, we want to make e-mobility accessible to everyone. To this end, we are constantly expanding and consolidating our network of charging stations and doing everything we can to make e-mobility even more attractive.
What is changing on 23 January 2024 for PASSPORT customers?
IONITY is reducing the monthly PASSPORT base price by 50% from 23 January 2024 in all 24 countries of the IONITY charging network. All new and existing customers will pay just 5.99** euros per month from the next invoice instead of the previous 11.99** euros, or according to the local currency*.
In addition, PASSPORT Customers will also benefit from lower/kWh charging prices in Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Norway based on the lowered IONITY DIRECT tariff and the Discounts Model of 20 cents (or similar amount in other currencies) discount on the IONTIY DIRECT tariff, that the product offers. * The monthly base price depends on your place of residence based on the corresponding national currency.

- I have already got a PASSPORT subscription. Will the discounted price be applied to my subscription automatically?
Yes, you will benefit from the reduced price automatically from the next date of your contract extension, which is one month after the initial subscription date.
Example: if you subscribed to PASSPORT on 5th December 2023 , your subscription will run with the old conditions until 4th 2024 February. From 5th 2024 February you will benefit from the new price. The price change will be visible in your February invoice which will be issued on the 1st March 2024.
- Do I need to cancel my existing PASSPORT subscription and get a new one to get the discounted price?
No, you will automatically benefit from the lowered monthly price from the next contract extension date, which is one month after the contract initiation date.
Example: if you subscribed to PASSPORT on 5th December 2023, your subscription will run with the old conditions until 4th February 2024. From 5th February 2024 you will benefit from the new price. The price change will be visible in your February invoice which will be issued on the 1st March 2024.
- Is this a temporary discount? Are you planning to change the price again in the near future?
This is not a temporary discount but a general price reduction. There are no plans in the near future to increase prices again.
- Where can I find the price of the PASSPORT subscription for my country?
You can find the price on the IONITY Website ACCESS & PAYMENT - NETWORK - Home (ionity.eu) or in the IONITY App.
- Is the price of charging my car with the PASSPORT subscription changing too?
The discount of 20 cents (or similar amount in other currencies) on the IONITY DIRECT tariff will be unchanged. This means that in the countries in which IONITY lowers the IONITY DIRECT tariff (Austria, Denmark, Sweden & Norway) you will also benefit from lower price/kWh.
